Apetite Supressant

Obesity has become increasing problem in the world. World Health Organization’s has reported that in some parts of Europe about 70 percent of men and woman aged 55-64 are clinically obese or overweight. In United States one person in five is overweight and one in three is obese. This statistic proves prevalence of obesity in the US and Europe has reached epidemic levels.

In recent years weight loss has become one of the most talked about subjects in the media. A new revolutionary diet book comes out every month. Miracle herbal supplements promising thin, muscular bodies are everywhere in drug stores and now even supermarkets. But unfortunately they do not work. They don’t work because they do not target the root of weight problem, appetite. With all of the diets we are told to eat less food, but our bodies just do not listen.

French pharmaceutical company Sanofi – Aventis has come up with the solution to this problem. Studying the appetite itself, scientist from Sanofi – Aventis discovered that cannabis enhances appetite. Cannabis smokers call this enhanced desire for food “munchies”. Result of this research is the drug called Acomplia (Rimonabant).

Acomplia (Rimonabant) is the first drug on the market developed specifically to suppress appetite. It works by blocking the CB-1 receptors, which are found in the brain in addition to some of the body’s peripheral tissues such as fat cells, and are responsible for controlling appetite and dependency phenomenon.

Further study of this revolutionary drug has discovered that besides from being appetite suppressant, Acomplia (Rimonabant), can be used to treat smoking cessation and is also beneficial for cardiovascular/metabolic risk factors associated with obesity.

Acomplia (Rimonabant) is oral prescription medication usually taken in the morning before breakfast with full glass of water. Acomplia pill must be swallowed and not chewed. The usual prescribed daily dosage is 20mg. Acomplia must be taken regularly and not skipped. If a dose is skipped it should be taken immediately. Users should not overdose on the pill.

Although, Acomplia Rimonabant has been proven as successful weight loss treatment it must be accompanied with regular exercise routine and low-calorie diet.

Acomplia (Rimonabant) should not be used by nursing mothers and pregnant women. Inform your physician and your OBGYN before consuming Acomplia. Also ask him to explain side effects associated with Acomplia.

Side effects are generally mild and diminish in time. They might include nausea, irritability, anxiety, vomiting, stomach upset, muscle cramps. Side effects are temporary and fade away as soon as one adjusts to the Acomplia. If these side effects persist for an extended phase of time or any other critical side effects appear, seek instantaneous medical support.
