Generic Acomplia Combats Diabetes
At present 194 million adults or 5 percent of adults in the whole world suffer from diabetes. Ninety percent (90%) of people with diabetes are associated with obesity and overweight. The study included 278 participants from different countries namely United States, Germany, Argentina, Chile, Hungary, Poland and the Netherlands. The patients should have been diagnosed with diabetes for three months but less than three years. The study was conducted by randomly giving placebo pills to some participants and Generic Acomplia pills to others. The participants included in the study are those who had untreated diabetes. The patients received 20 milligram doze of Generic Acomplia drug for a period of six months.
The result of the study showed that there was a significant improvement in the blood sugar level of those who took the drug compared to those who took placebo pills. Fifty percent (50%) of the people who had untreated diabetes attained HbA1c levels that are below seven percent (7%). This level is the glucose level that is recommended by the American Diabetes Association. The Hba1c level was reduced by 0.8%, which is significantly different from the 0.3% reduction in the patients who only took placebo pills. The clients also experienced reduction in weight of 14.8 lbs. Those patients under placebo only achieved weight reduction of 5.95 lbs. Other risk factors such as HDL-cholesterol and triglycerides were also reduced as result of Generic Acomplia drug intake. Triglycerides decreased by 16.4 percent, which is significantly different from the 4.4 increase for the placebo. The reduction in weight and other risk factors are believed to help manage type 2 diabetes. The reduction in weight also makes the drug competitive against other diabetes drugs since other diabetes drugs are known to be associated with weight gain. The waist circumference also decreased by 6.1 centimeters whiles the waist of patients under placebo only decreased by 2.4 centimeters.
